Hello, and welcome to Amun’s Seasonal Snapshot post! Thanks to the kind folks who helped me decide on what to do. Without further ado, here are the shows that I’m watching this season and whether or not you should join me – I’ll give them grades to help you decide. There are some shows I’m about to drop, some that are decent, a few good ones, and one that’s simply head and shoulders above the rest (bet it’s not the one you expect).
Hello, and welcome to an unscheduled, random post from Amun! As we reach the halfway point of one of the most hyped seasons in recent memory, I wanted to check in and see which shows have met expectations, which have disappointed, and if there are any gems in the crowded field. Without further ado, here’s my take on the shows I’m watching this season!
Amun: It’s that time again, where we give the all-important first episode awards. I don’t have a pretty graphic this season, but I do have a few trophies – one franchise managed to capture it’s own award (Berserk), while another provided a first episode the polar opposite of its namesake award (Bleach). With one of the highest hyped seasons in a while, I hope even some of these shows live up to expectations as we come to the end of 2022.
Once again, Lenlo is going to be covering the bulk of the shows here, but Aidan has returned for the adaptation of Chainsaw Man. I will be enjoying this season as a viewer, and I hope to see all of you in the chat box and the comments! Join me past the break to see our awards!

So I was unaware that this season is a split – guess this is the end until January! And wow, what a cliffhanger. These last two episodes have been absolutely brutal in terms of body count…the plot armor on our mains is even wearing a bit thin. Let’s take a look at these last two outings as we say goodbye until next year. Want to see what I rate this half? Check it out below!

I’ve been pretty positive on this season of DanMachi, but these two episodes weren’t my favorites. Basically, I don’t like the horror flashbacks (or flash forwards?) at the start of each episode. Let’s take a look!

Remember when I was wishing that Bell would fight someone other than the Minotaur? I got my wish – Bell is now currently fighting…an overgrown bush? It’s a pretty scary overgrown bush though, so all is not lost. Let’s get into this pair of episodes, which had plenty of good points (and a few small flaws).
We’re back at it, with Bell and Co. vs creepy green moss monster. This was a very straightforward episode, but it showcased some of DanMachi’s major strengths. Let’s go!
DanMachi is continuing its winning ways from last season. Even though this episode is still very much in the “setup” stage, we’re starting to see the key themes of the season emerge. Let’s dive in!
