Great news from Moetron: the third season for Jigoku Shoujo has finally been announced. I originally thought that everything would be over after the second season, but on the other hand, there were more than enough hints given that there was some kind of continuation coming. Now that [spoiler] is [spoiler], we should be seeing some new characters as well, and the [spoiler] will also probably get more development. This should be one to watch out for.
Jigoku Shoujo, Third Season Announced
Interesting. Just what kind of story will the staff come up with after Futakomori’s ending? It sounds risky to start a whole new season without [spoiler], could [spoiler] somehow come back? Meh, don’t mind my wishful thinking…
The first two seasons were excellent, I guess I’ll just trust Studio DEEN once again.

Count me in on it. I’m curious to see who the current ‘Jigoku Shoujo is’ (Kikuri?). And what happened Ai’s old servants :). I just hope Ai herself won’t ‘miraculously’ come back. It’d kinda bring the series down to a footnote.
There can’t be a Jigoku Shoujo series without the wonderful voice of Mamiko Noto saying “Ippen, shinde miru”. Period.
I can’t wait for this third season ! The other two were so great !!! I hope Enma Ai would come back cause it would be weird to see Jigoku shoujo without jigoku shoujo, well that’s what I think. I really thought she was killed at the end of the second season, it’s quite a surprise! But I enjoyed the previous ones so much that I think the third one would follow the same way. But I somehome rather to have one character’s revenge than practically all at the same time like it was at the end of the second one. However I know why they did it, that town turned out the same way that the village in which Enma was burried alive. So it was QUITE a perfect ending. I wonder what would happen to Onne-Anna ( I don’t rememberhow is spelled her name ), she’s the character I liked the most exept Jigoku shoujo herself. I really want this serie aired soon but I think it won’t be aired till summer or autumn 2008, don’t you think. I wish I was wrong and this would come sooner!!!

Well, they did hint at it at the end of the last episode, when that random girl in the hospital picked up her cell phone and saw the message. I wonder how much of the previous two seasons they’ll include, since Ai’s gone. It’ll be great though!

Yay!I hope Enma Ai become Jigoku Shoujo again! Cause I hate Kikuri!And I hope Ichimoku Ren still at the 3rd season. ^O^
I think whats most likely going to happen is [spoiler] comes back to put a stop to all of this once and for all.
I can’t wait to see the third season I think they are going to amaze us all with a twist( at least thats what I hope) !!
Jigoku Shoujo was one of the few series that I consider to have a very fruitfull plot, plus the characters are amazing!!
Enma Ai was a beautifull character, still something out of the ordinary is in order don’t you think?
