Hiatus

Well, it’s the time of the year again where I’m swamped with work, right before the Christmas Break. I’m having exams (or finals or whatever you call them in English) next week, and so I can’t use the distraction of blogging right now.

I’ll be back next week Friday.

  1. Good luck on the finals…

what do you mean with “whatever you call them on english”, is it not your native language?

  2. Hey cool, wist niet dat je Nederlands was. Lees al een tijdje je blog, cker een van de betere anime blogs die er zijn. Welke studie doe je en waar? Succes in ieder geval!

  3. Hi. I don’t watch anime. I think anime is childish garbage. I went through four pages of your website and the lowest rating you gave any single anime was a 7/10. This shows me that you do not know how to discriminate between bad and good (you watch anime) and I think it is safe to say that all people who watch anime do not know how to discriminate. You are a dumb human being.

  4. dchode6-9: well, I admire your courage to still post, even though you hate anime. To clarify things a bit:

    – The 7/10 rating thing is probably referring to the episodes. And it’s true, those are usually very high because I only blog the series I like and get enjoyment of. In terms of overall ratings, the lowest scores I’ve ever given are 34/100. The thing is that I usually drop the worst shows before I get the chance to properly review them (this is a hobby, after all. Why should I watch the crap if it’s not fun?)

Then second of all, if you think that all anime is childish garbage, you’re goin to be really surprised at the diversity of the genre. Take Shigurui for example: that’s one series you definitely don’t want kids to see. There are also plenty of anime with mature themes, like Ergo Proxy, Mononoke, or Ghost in the Shell (just to name a few). Even some series with children as main characters deal with surprisingly dark and mature topics (Now and Then, Here and There comes to mind, for example).

  5. PSGELS,

Greatest of luck with your finals…I remember those days ^_^ It’s definitely better to stress and focus on them now then do bad on them and regret it later.

In regards to anyone who doesn’t watch anime or cartoon and says it’s childish garbage…NO, IT’S NOT. Some great anime/cartoon have great stories. They’re so great that real life movies can’t compare.

PSGELS, keep blogging. I can’t wait to read your review on Casshern SINS episode 11!

  6. just get it done and overwith and come back and do some reviews. Good luck with them… are they your last /final year exams if so i REALLY wish you good luck

  7. Good luck for you exams!!! , I hope you’ll pass them all!!! actually mine are just after the Christmas break but I already had some before, that’s why I was busy with my studies and couldn’t write before, sorry! BEST OF LUCK !!!

  8. To all those who don’t like anime: you must be whether people who never watched any anime in your life , that’s most probable, most of the people I know, ( my parents come 1st) never watched anime and don’t consider them seriousely, we can’t change your brain, the only way to make sure that what you say isn’t wrong is to watch, it’s just like you would say you hate movies or books without even considering to watch or read one!!! You’d be the stupid one!! That’s quite the same! I “love” the way people who never watched any animated series in their life like to boast and say ” I’m so smart, I’ve never watched anime in my life, all the other are so dumb!” whaoh!!! People who are like that should get back on earth, cause that doesn’t makes them more intelligent that people who watch them, on the contrary i would say! Besides, a great amount of anime are meant for adults ( between 16 to 35 , the average), and if you have doubts then ask yourself if japaneese people who live on manga and anime are less smarter! Definitely not!!!The subjects and themes are often better than what movies could display and have better interest and all! Not all anime are good , that’s true, just like books or films but to say they’re all childish and “garbage!”, who are you to make that judgement, it’s ridiculous ! The other category of people could be those who watched one really bad anime, good anime are like pearls, you have to search for them in the wide open sea or under piles of spread bricks. If you found a good anime, it’s just like if you have found a shining pearl or a bright diamond under the rocks! They are many very good anime , but also many disappointing ones, you have to search the good ones and watch them, it’s always a great and wonderful adventure, even the most “childish ones “, well if you forgot the child you were it’s pretty a sad thing!

  9. Yeah, except most people don’t consider cocaine childish garbage. Also, it’s illegal in many places. Heh.

Having my finals today and another one next week, so I’m envious that yours are nearly over psgels 🙂

  10. I don’t see what you mean by “cocaine”, it has nothing to do with the subject, we’re not addicted to anime, we just like them and watch them cause we find a particularly strong interest in it, more than in films most of the time, your talking about cocaine just proves you’re a half-wit!!! Anime isn’t a drug and it doesn’t kill us!!!
