Short Synopsis: Genji and Murasaki finally hook up together.

And so another series has finished. While a straightforward ending (it basically involves Genji being down because of the sin he committed, him being attacked by a bunch of bandits and finally his realization that Murasaki is ‘more’ than a younger sister to him), it was a very effective one, and just like any other episode of this series an emotional ride.
It’s a shame that this one never got subbed, but then again that was to be expected considering how little attention Osamu Dezaki’s previous work (Ultraviolet) received. It’s a real shame, because this guy really knows how to make optimal use of visuals and sound to tell a story. And I really have to say that each episode of this series was effective, and set out exactly what it wanted to do.
In any case, I’m looking forward to the next instalment of Noitamina. I have absolutely no idea what it’s going to be, since I’ve been avoiding all spring previews in order to not get too hyped about it, but it’s probably going to be something completely different again. In any case, thanks for all the tips and corrections from those who read the original novel.
Huh. Well, they just cut off the story there, huh? There goes half the book. (we didn’t even get to see Genji’s exile and his hook-up with the Akashi Lady, who bears him his only daughter)
Oh, and as for your previous post, yes Genji’s son with Fujitsubo will become Emperor. It’s just Genji’s older brother was Crown Prince first. So the elder brother became Emperor, and Genji’s son became Crown Prince.

I think It is currently being subbed by Liive-eVIL. The first episode has been out, and the bit about Genji being second in line for the throne (which he isn’t) is corrected from another version.
I love the scene with Genji and Murasaki sleeping together. It’s a clear contrast to the rest of the erotic scenes of him and other ladies. Like Murasaki and Genji’s love is not that sensual but is deep and purer. However, I found that bandit scene out of place and I don’t know why it is included. I hope the subbed version will make the significance of this scene clear.
Can someone explain to me if Genji loves Fujitsubo. I’ve watched up till episode 5 and part of 11 and I was wondering what Genji thinks. I always thought he had a thing for Fujitsubo and that was the focus of the anime, but did he not love her and loved Murasaki later in the end? Also, what happens after he gets exiled?
