Welcome to Star Crossed Anime!

Hey there! You’ve managed to find the new incarnation of psgels.net, one of the oldest surviving English language anime blogs on the web. Though our history may be long, we’re always looking forward, as seasonal anime is the bread and butter of our site. Here you’ll find episodic reviews of currently airing shows (plus weekly installments of Throwback Thursday), quarterly season previews, first impressions of new series as they premiere in Japan, and yearly rundowns of our favorite anime – 2019’s is just around the corner!

Whether you’re coming from psgels or you’re new to Star Crossed, we appreciate your readership. Let us know you’re here with a comment below, or by sounding off in the shoutbox to the right. Though we’re in the midst of a busy holiday season, new content will start appearing on the site very soon. Anime is a ride that never stops running, and neither do we – the new era of Star Crossed Anime begins now!

  1. Thanks for all your hard work in moving the website! I guess we’re lucky so many of the writers here have a background in IT. 🙂 Psgels may be long gone, but the new generation is doing an excellent job keeping his website alive.

  2. You guys rock! Thank you so much for not only migrating to a new site but also for archiving all the old stuff. I’ve been reading the psgels/star crossed anime blog since at least 2010 and I’m so glad it’s still here. You folks consistently deliver the most thoughtful, critical, and well-written of the weekly anime reviews. I check in here every day hoping something new has been posted.

Best wishes for the new website! Cheers!

  3. Thanks.
But I see some things from the old site, like the “Review Index” link on top of the page is missing. That was one way to access a lot of very old reviews.
If one already knows what to look for, then writing “review index” in the search box results in this link https://starcrossedanime.com/review-index/
It does work, but one should already know what to look for.

    1. The Review Index is still accessible without knowing the URL – you just have to click on “Anime Reviews” in the header without selecting one of the drop-down options.

  4. Thank you for your keeping the site alive and for still generating good content and best analysis of the best ongoing, past and oldies anime series. You’re such a great team, keep doing like that!
