I’m not sure how many people still follow what I write because the updates have become so sparse, but from may 31st till June 9th, I’m going on a holiday to America and I’ll be visiting San Francisco and New York, so if any of you happen to live there and want to meet up: just go ahead and drop a comment. 🙂
Ahh, awesome! You will love it. 🙂 I’m in LA unfortunately, but those are some great cities to visit.
Editing this to add that you should come down to Los Angeles, which is an AMAZING city so long as you can rent a car. 🙂 The Mexican here food is to die for
Visting coast to coast, huh? I highly recommend you visit some jazz and comedy clubs in New York, and visit fisherman’s wharf in San Francisco. Best seafood ever.
2 of the worst places in America.
You must be a conservative, eh? You can literally walk all day in SF and NY without seeing a conservative even once.
What sort of a comment is that? There are a ton of conservatives in NYC, not sure which troll hole you crawled out of.
? Lol that was a joke, not sure if you understand jokes. Not to mention NY is a liberal city.
I think you meant to write two of the most desirable locations to live in the country, that also happen to be two of the best places to go for food and the arts. I mean if I were going to pick places to go for a vacation I’d also include some places with natural splendor, but even Europeans don’t receive so much holiday time that I should be spending it for them.
I agree with the others, some of the best eats of the country there. Perhaps not the most American of cities, but they’re definitely representative of the melting pot the US is. Not to mention our general scenic tourist spots suck.
Yah, New Orleans, Austin, Albuquerque and Las Vegas would be better. Maybe Seattle too. Or Portland. And I would drive and visit all the national parks along the way.
Couldn’t pay me enough to go to San Fransicko.
I don’t live near those areas. Sorry. New York is two states away from where I live. Ugh!
I Live in BK. Hit me back on the e-mail if you wanna.
I live in the SF area if you’d like to meet up.
I do as well if you want to meet up.
sure, go meet the random guy on the blog. Sounds legit.
sure there is.
I don’t live in either locale, although San Francisco is my favorite city to visit, and I went there last autumn for vacation. I’m very content to live in Portland (Oregon), though, and rarely have the desire to travel.
I’m commenting merely to let you know that I still follow your blog, regardless of the frequency of your posts. (^_^)
Somewhat a long time reader of this blog, so I’m interested if you swing by Manhattan (I work there).
Around manhattan/Brooklyn NYc. Free to meet up (send me an email) 😀
I live close to NYC, about 40 minutes. I’ve been following your blog for a few years. I use it as a reference when new seasons start to weed out the bad from the good. You are usually spot on with your reviews so its a big help when I am trying to find something good to watch.
So when you visit new york let me know, id be interested. Cheers.
I’ve been following your blog for 3.5 years and would take a bus to NYC to meet you if I could afford to at the moment.
I do live in the Bay Area, however, I myself will be on vacation. Besides doing the obvious touristy things in San Fran, e.g. Golden Gate Bridge, Union Square, Pier 39, Alcatraz, the Embarcadero, Chinatown, you need to take the time to drive up (if you have a car available to you) to visit Twin Peaks for a breath taking panoramic of San Francisco (and on a clear day Oakland as well): http://sfrecpark.org/destination/twin-peaks/. Well worth the trip. Plus, I recommend the burgers from The Burger Meister, the one in the Castro district is my fave: http://www.burgermeistersf.com. Additionally, if you are into theatre, both NY and SF have great shows. Enjoy your vacation, and remember that SF has very strange weather, and the Bay Area in general has been having some seriously odd weather for this time of year too. So it wouldn’t be unheard of if one day it is foggy and freezing (and I use this term liberally, remember I am from the Bay, so anything colder than 62*F is f*ucking freezing) and the next sunny and 92 out.
I’m in San Fransisco, you should tag along and check out the music scene and the nightlife with us 😉
Great to hear you’ll be visiting the US! I discovered your blog back in 2010 when I lived in Louisville but here in SF now. Would be fun to meet up if you’re getting some folks together to say hello or chat about anime. Maybe a beer(or Melon Soda 😉 in Japantown? Not sure what dates you’re in town but just a heads up there’s a Studio Ghibli festival running through 6/8 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts: http://www.ybca.org/studio-ghibli
