Short Synopsis: A-Laws gathers up all of its forces for an all-out attack on the CBs.
Episode Rating: 7,5/10 (Good)
I keep expecting this series to become a trainwreck… and it doesn’t. Seriously, there was so much potential for these final episodes to delve into a scream-fest, but aside from some slight annoyances (Louise mostly) the finale of this series hasn’t become a total disaster at all. This episode too was again a very good one, strangely enough.
Finally the character-development comes together a bit, and instead of the scream-fest in the veins of Zeta Gundam that I was expecting, the finale seems to be heading much more in the style of Gundam Wing. While there is no huge battleship to crash into the earth (unless Veda decides to plummet into the earth somehow), it basically was a string of very solid all-out battles together with character-development that instead of spiralling out of control made the cast come more together. Exactly what was happening in this episode.
The ending of this episode was also really interesting, with Regetta killing Ribbons, but then again: this remains Sunrise. Ribbons really sounds like a guy who wouldn’t die even if you killed him, and although the idea of Regetta being the new main villain, I first want to see Ribbons really dead in the next episode.
In any case, this series still can go anywhere. It can still be the series to restore the faith in the Gundam Franchise after the likes of Gundam Seed Destiny, or it can just become one total disaster. And I really hope that it’s going to be the former.
Ribbons is shown in next episode’s preview. I think Gundam SEED Destiny still holds the record for the shortest death though. IIRC, Athrun’s nuclear-powered gundam gets impaled and blown up, and he gets rescued in the same episode.
Regene kills Ribbons, but then Ribbons reappears in the previews… no need to make it that obvious Sunrise.
Anyways, nice episode though. Love the battles. We’ll see shat Ribbon’s Clone Army can do.

Ironically, other people would argue it already is one, if you look around the web in the “right” places.
Either they’re “wrong” or there are some double standards somewhere…maybe because with all due respect, I think that buzzword has become as worthless as toilet paper these days. But that’s probably a different debate.
The actual episode was pretty good, although it keeps doing things I didn’t really want to see (let’s have a clone army, anyone?). And poor Ribbons is most certainly alive, going by the preview, one way or another.
If you ask me, 00 can just be a pretty good series with certain ups and downs. I really don’t like how it seems one must either love or hate these days with no tolerance for anything in between.
I see all of the CB pilots dying except for MAYBE Setsuna, and maybe Saji. And maybe Soma..
Its funny how you didn’t comment on the clone army in your review psgels, cause I thought that would be the first thing you’ll point out in your review when I watched the episode ^_^
You really have a thing against Zeta, dont you? Always trying to make a bad image of it, saying it was emo? Zeta was never emo. And, you see, it was the second Gundam made, and the first with so many deaths… So, take in consideration the time it was made, ok? Dont judge it having im mind all the others gundams.
Well, it’s just my opinion after all, but all I saw in the final half of Zeta Gundam was a bunch of angsty teenagers screaming and whining. I know I’m harsh on that series, but that’s because I really liked the very first Gundam, which was produced about six years earlier. I’ve seen quite a few good series from the seventies and eighties, so why shouldn’t Zeta Gundam have been able to come up with a good story?

That’s all right, we all know how bad your taste in good directing is. What else can we expect from a person who actually enjoyed trainwreck that was “Blade of Immortal”
Okay, Karry convinced me not to use the word “trainwreck” anymore. Apparently everyone here has a different interpretation of what it means.
