Whoa… seriously…. I expected this series to take the same path as Les Miserables and Perrine, where the first season would be used to quietly introduce the different characters and settings, especially since Perrine has been a rather quiet series while Perrine and her mother have been travelling through Easter Europe. And then Sara comes, and already delivers such a powerful episode, so early in the series, where Sara has to say goodbye to her father. She really is something different from your usual spoiled child, and the bond between her and her father is huge. This probably is due to the loss of her mother, which made a major impact on the two of them. The majority of the episode is filled with Sara, trying to find Emily. It becomes even clearer that she’s got a lot of imagination, and sortof lives in her own world. And because she’s so innocent, she probably also gets her way. It’d be interesting to see in the future episodes when she doesn’t. The head of the school she’s in already suspects that she’ll cause huge amounts of troubles when that happens, though she looks more like someone who hides her sadness, like this episode showed how both Ralph and Sara refused to cry in front of each other. One thing’s for sure, though: the people in the school are going to have to get used to Sara’s strange personality.]]>
Iirc Sarah doesn’t have a strange personality, she’s just a generally very gentle character.
The whole story will sooner or later turn into something dramatic though (I won’t give out more infos as it would be a big spoiler).
I meant “strange” more as in the eyes of the other children and staff in the school, as they’ll probably have trouble getting used to the fact that such a spoiled little girl can also be so gentle, but that may be because I keep comparing this to Soukou no Strain, where Sara immediately turned into an outcast because she kept refusing to socialize and instead talk to Emily. Obviously, I can see how this series is going to follow a completely different route, but I just can’t help but draw connections. ^^;
I watched this serie a long time ago but I used to watch and watch it again so I know the subject rather well. I won’t give you any spoilers but Sara was quite an exemple for me. There’s no another girl like her. I could hardly imagine to meet someone as gentle and kind as she is. And if you happen to do something mean or say something cruel to a person you don’t like, you can’t help saying to yourself : ” Get a grip ! Sara would never act that way!” Well you’ll see what I mean later. You should watch all the episodes of this serie quickly because it’s worth it. Really! I felt just like you when I started to watch it but I think you’ll be quite surprised all along . And this serie made me realize that life isn’t always easy and that everything could change from one day to another ( this change could as well be for good as for bad).
Speaking of Perrine, are you gonna write a review on it soon?
iirc, the subs seem to have stopped completely, and I”m not sure where to find the rest tbh.
I know! Only 2 episodes have been subbed! I asked the subbing group Wasurenai if they’d like to sub it, but I haven’t gotten a reply yet.
A Little Princess, I mean. Not Perrine.
I found out recently that another subgroup seems to have picked up ‘a little princess’. A group called Licca Subs.
