Watching episode 11 had me so anxious for the finale. This isn’t like last season, where by the time the final two episodes came along, all hope was lost. No – this was anxiety born of seeing far too many “almost” good endings. Well fear not, gentle reader – DanMachi capped off an absolutely superlative season… and stuck the landing! Let’s go!

2020 hasn’t been great for many reasons, but at least it’s a good year to be a Danmachi fan. These two episodes were outstanding. While episode 8 may be the best of the series, 9 and 10 were on point. Go watch them if you haven’t. There’s not much for me to add, except to sit basking in the glow of a good DanMachi season.
I had a bunch of things to say, but that seemed boring – so here’s the Bell’s harem report from these two episodes.
“Clichés can be quite fun. That’s how they got to be clichés.” Pretty much the DanMachi mantra this season. That said, these pair of episodes are in contention for the season’s best – and we’re only getting better from here. Let’s get to it!

Five episodes into Season 3 and DanMachi is looking good. Straightforward plot and good execution should be a motto more anime strive for. Straightforward doesn’t mean simple or boring here – DanMachi has managed a nuanced look at politics, diplomacy, and “fog of war”.

When you think of a nuanced show, the source of the “Hestia Ribbon” does not nautrally spring to mind. However, this season of DanMachi, for all the previous misfires and service jokes, is setting up a complicated, interesting plot. Whether or not they can pull it off is a whole other thing entirely, but so far – season 3 has been great.
Einstein’s oft-quoted definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. On that note, here we are with a new season of DanMachi! This one will be great! And, as Amun doesn’t learn (despite recently dropping Fire Force), I am absolutely pumped and certain that this season will be the one that gets the franchise back on track.
Also, I like how it’s taken 3 seasons for “Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls in A Dungeon?” to fulfill its name – that question is actually this season’s entire plot!
