This episode was a bit of a step back from the dynamics of the previous episodes, but you can see that it was building up to something. The big challenge for this series is to make all of this build-up come together in the final four episodes: make this a real solid series instead of one that just cuts off at a certain point.
Most of the episode revolved around Kuranosuke looking for ways to get money in order to buy their own apartment, along with the aftermath of Shuu’s previous night. Most of the tension came when Kuranosuke tried to sell off Chieko’s belongings, where Banba suddenly manned up. On top of that, Shouko’s rants are also getting more enjoyable with every episode.
Tsukimi disappointed me a little, because she spent most of this episode angsting over Shu. Kuranosuke around her was still really enjoyable to watch though, especially when he nearly unconsciously ended up kissing her. Speaking of which, why didn’t Mayaya find it strange that Tsukimi suddenly had this naked buy in her room when she kicked the door open? Did she just… not notice or something?
Rating: ** (Excellent)
It’s because She could not see. Her Eyes were covered by her bangs xD… just kiddin’
Actually throughout a lot of the episodes Mayaya is incredibly clueless and rarely notices anything. I think she’s the craziest of them all honestly.
I feel like Mayaya’s inside of her own world 100% of the time, and her concern about the fax machine completely blinded her to Kuranosuke being half-naked and sprawled all over the floor with Tsukimi. (Also, yes, shes’ crazy, but entertainingly so). 🙂
Maybe, because Kurnosuke was lying face down, Mayaya couldn’t confirm that he didn’t have breasts – and thought the absence of a bra was because he had small breasts. Maybe it’s something she feels she can relate to and therefore didn’t want to put “Kurako” on the spot.
I didn’t like watching Tsukimi crying so much over Shu either. The good part was that it made her lean on Kuranosuke ^^ Tsukimi and Kuranosuker are the right match! I’d love to see them figuring that out.
I liked the episode but I have a very odd (and frightful) feeling that my beloved Kuranosuke with NOT end up with Tsukimi… I mean, she has been mopping about Shuu for 2 episodes now: how in the hell is she going to get over him and in love with Kuranosuke (who DID want to kiss her when she was NOT wearing make-up …
[cont’d]…. how in the hell is she going to get over him and in love with Kuranosuke (who DID want to kiss her when she was NOT wearing make-up …
Don’t know if this was a liberal translation, but Inari’s meltdown culminating in her scrawling “Them boobs is fake, bitches” on the wall had me DYING.
I also hope Tsukimi will end with Kuranosuke, they’ll form a good pair, Shu is definitely not the right type for her, and besides, she CAN actually be herself while she’s with Kuranosuke, and she acts more openly when she’s with him compared to her being with Shu ( and besides her encounter with him was just as fateful as ever!), I loved how Kuranosuke tried to kiss her in this episode, just wanted to kill Mayaya when she suddenly opened the room, why at this right moment! But they won’t manage to get the money they need for the building without any exterior help ( Kuranosuke’s?), even if it’s not a five-star hotel, it’s still a building and not so small. I wonder if Kuranosuke will end up living with the group, though.
I don’t mean to spoil anything but based from reading the manga I don’t think she’s going to end up with Shu. By the way I love your blog before I watch something I usually come here to check out what you have to say. Thanks.
