Ah, so finally Juusanhime appears. Really, she turned out totally different from what I imagined of her. I expected a mature young girl, probably along the lines of a younger Kochou, but instead she turned out to be Shuuei’s younger sister, quite energetic and quite talented at fighting. So this is the woman who will eventually be married to Ruuki, and I wonder what she’s going to add to the overall storyline. In the meantime, Shuurei relieves her anger upon a very unlucky lump of dough, and she gets her first major mission from Kouki: safely escort Juusanhime to the palace. Shusui also returns, and nearly commits suicide! Ran also has some worries now that he’s not with Ryuuki anymore, and the two of them meet each other in this episode. There was a lot talking involved, so I couldn’t understand exactly, but apparently Ran had someone he loved, taken away from him by his triplet-brothers. Shushui puts up a strong face in front of him, though she herself is also troubled by hearing a very strange and annoying sound. Could this date back from when she was still working under Souka? All signs point to yes, since she freaked out when she saw small Riou. Most part of the episode is spent on Shuurei, though. It’s great to see her out of her old outfit that she wore in the past few episodes. I’m again not sure if I understood everything correctly, but it seems that Kouki favours Seiga at the moment, and he lets him in on quite a few things that he doesn’t let Shuurei know. Which makes me wonder… aren’t there any other people working on their department besides the three of them? Or was Kouki really in such a huge need of more people? On a side-note, I’ve been getting increasingly more annoyed with how the speeds of my images, hosted on putfile have gone down, so I’m experimenting a bit with different image- and filehosts. Can someone tell me whether the images above actually show up? And please notify me if they don’t. ]]>
Don’t worry, I can see all your images. Thank you so much for this new post on Saiunkoku Monogatari.
NNoooo. shurei is suppose to be with ryuki!! noooo. why????? it doesn’t make sense. isn’t she jealous? this actually angers me alittle. lol Thanks a bunch for the summary 🙂
It is not sure whether she would end up marrying Ryuuki just yet.
She is, however, a candidate in case Shuurei insists on not marrying him or if she would take too long to decide on it.
They look almost the same, though. They are of the same age as well. The only thing different from them physically is that 13th princess has bigger boobs. 😀 hehehehe
here, here. let me explain the part between Shuei and Shusui (Warning, might contain future spoil, but technically no):
starting from the part where Shuei’s looking over his water pond: Shuei was reflecting his past, where the woman he loves (name not revealed yet,) decided to marry to his triplet brothers (yes, i mean all 3 of them, but technically the oldest of the 3. by family law, if all 3 brothers want to remain alive, the 3 cannot reveal to the public, not even any relatives including Shuei, whom amongst them is the oldest. therefore, when the one Shuei loves decides to marry the oldest of the brothers, she has to be shared by all 3, marry to all of them. and that’s her decision.
still in the flash back but taken place a little bit more later on in the Ran county, Shuei came across a beautiful lady performing the dance that his ex love used to dance with. and that lady is Shusui. who also bares a strikingly resemblance to his ex love and fell into tears. Shusui spotted a man (Shuei) peaking at her and attacked him with a fan, but saw the man crying and came to ask if he was okay. Shuei trys to hide his embarrassment, Shusui saw the cut that she had made on Shuei’s clothing and decided to take him in to her place to mentor him and sou back the cut she made as an apology.
through that, Shuei later fell in love with Shusui and had never forget her since up until when our Saiunkoku story began and up till now. since the time Shusui went into the palace, and that Shuei has the chance to see her again, Shuei made a huge amount of attempts to have Shusui notice him and to court Shusui by dashing into the harlem, sleeping with every concubine in order to have Shusui to appear to brash at him and kick him away so that he can have a chance to talk to her. but with the power of the Hyo tribe plus years between when they first met, Shusui totally forgot about their one-time meeting, thinking that Shuei’s some nucklehead who would gobble any woman into his own harlem including herself, and plus she already had someone else that she loved and not Shuei.
so that’s the whole Shuei’s love story. poor guy.
waaaa i don’t want that girl with ryuuki!!! i want shuureeeeiii T___T anyways thx for the summary
yo, yo, i like Jusanhime a lot. she’s actually a veeeeeeeeeeeery cool and awesome person, and it’s not that she wants to marry Ryuuki either (since she already has a person she likes). but she agrees to come in as a concubine anyway, for the sake of almighty Ran family, her brother Shuei, and for the person she loves but cannot unite… she sacrifices a lot you know. and this is really for Ryuuki himself to decide, and he will, eventually make the necessary decision of a royal marriage and pass down his clan for the future of the country.
I agree with Shun, Jyuusan-hime gives up a lot and though she appears light-hearted, she is aware of things more than she shows.
And the relationship (?) of Shuuei and Shusui is something I am deeply interested in. And yeah, poor guy. Can’t believe that happens to him. Gosh.
I am quite fond of Shusui actually…so if ever there is a third season, I will be wanting to see where it goes.
