I must say: this fight was AWESOME!
Using chariots definitely was something different from the usual standard fight scene, and the creators spiced it up even more by turning just about everything into a weapon, from conventional crossbows to horses, cannonballs and pillars. The best thing was how it kept using surprise after surprise in order to push the fight forwrad. This isn’t your standard action, this is the action that remains interesting!
It’s going to be a real shame when this series finishes, because it has definitely set the bar really high for the future shounen series. Possibly only Hunter X Hunter should be able to come close to this level of entertainment, but when it comes to series that are purely about fighting…. it will be incredibly difficult to top this.
You can notice how this series was originally a manga: there are tiems when characters are about to hit something, and yet these scenes take ages because some characters need to be able to finish their dialogue (this timing problem stands out much less in manga format). This is something that often irks me, but the creators really managed to be able to solve it with their raw passion and energy here. Also something tells me that the creators here are big fans of Osamu Dezaki…
Rating: 6/8 (Awesome)
This episode really showed just how hard it is to adapt this material. It’s working, but you cab clearly tell their having trouble with the pacing, since they often need to cut out scenes or the opening or ending themes. My problen with this episode is that the art was a bit inconsistent and the goofy CGI.
It’s a shame this great show will be ending soon. Luckily though there is much hope for a continuation. It has been selling about 12K+ per volume so far.
um… when where did we learn that the anime is ending?
Iit ends after.26 episodes. MAL had listed it that way since the series began, so yeah only 4 more episodes ;_;
Not only that but only 9 blurays were scheduled for release which will have an average if 3 episodes per disc.
I really hope for another season. Seems to the JoJo fans that the next arc “Stardust Crusaders” is one of the best in the manga.
It’s the most popular I suppose. Nowhere near the best, the 4th one is IMO. Arc 3 is the most well lnow since it had it’s own Capcom game that was released for the Playstation and Dreamcast in North America, and rereleased in HD for download on the PS and Xbox360. It was the only one to get released in North America in manga volume format.
yea it’s a shame that it’s ending. doesn’t mean that they won’t continue in the future. so far the only thing we have is those jjba cards with jotaro, dio, star plat and the world done in david production style. There’s a high chance that they could begin part 3 after a season or two.
I stand by the statement that seventh part, Steel Ball Run is the best in the franchise. It has everything JoJo is famous for and in addition an actual plot!
Second Part, Battle Tendency, is my second favorite.
Parts 3 and 4, along with 1, are sort of weaker in the overall picture.
Take 4 out of the that equation an your good.

This is a problem HxH will have to deal in the Ant’s Saga. I hope they can acomplish it well, or a lot of depth of the manga will be lost. The one’s who read the manga will know what I’m talking about.
I feel ya bro, I wonder how they’ll deal with that metric tonne of narration

Sorry for the double post. I dont know how to delete the first.
